Simple Deliverance

There is a lot of talk and time given to deliverance ministry in the Church these days. But I will always say that the biggest form of deliverance is repentance and turning from sin and iniquity that hinders our walk with Jesus and each other. As we do this the Holy Spirit will help us through grace to overcome the sin in our lives and separate us from it supernaturally and powerfully, as the Blood of Jesus cleanses us from all unrightiousness (if we really repent and turn...no games). The Church is to stand with each other and pray that we would rid ourselves against every sin that so easlily entangles us (Hebrews 12:1-3). A little sin leavens the whole lump (1 Corinthians 5) So let us stand with each other in faith and prayer so that we may stand in the presence of the Lord in a worthy manner and not be hindered in any capacity as the Body of Christ.

Love may cover a multitude of sins...But....It does not "cover up" a multitude of sins. As we stand beliving together realizing that not one of us has the power in our human capacity to walk with a clear mind, conscience, or heart before God, we are at the mercy of God that He through His Holy Spirit can do all things in us through Christ and His Blood which is esceedingly powerful.

How does that look? I think James 5:13-20 says it really well with an emphasis on verse 16 which reads like this.

Is anyone among you suffering? Then he must pray. Is anyone cheerful? He is to sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Then he must call for the elders of the church and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.

Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed.

A prayer of a righteous person, when it is brought about, can accomplish much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. Then he prayed again, and the sky poured rain and the earth produced its fruit.

My brothers and sisters, if anyone among you strays from the truth and someone turns him back, let him know that the one who has turned a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.
